Publication Ethics

The journal “Vestnik of JASU named after B. Osmonov” adheres to the principles of academic integrity, scientific honesty, transparency of editorial activities, and compliance with ethical standards at all stages of the publication process. The publication ethics of the journal are based on generally accepted international standards for scholarly publishing.

1. General Provisions

The editorial board ensures fair consideration of submitted materials, protection of copyright, confidentiality of the editorial process, and non-discrimination on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, language, religion, citizenship, political views, or official status.

2. Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

The editorial board:

evaluates all submitted manuscripts solely on the basis of their scientific significance, relevance, originality, reliability, and compliance with the journal’s scope;
makes decisions on publication based on the scholarly value of the manuscript and the results of peer review;
guarantees the confidentiality of manuscripts and does not disclose information about submitted materials to third parties, except authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial board;
does not accept for publication materials containing plagiarism, falsification of data, unreliable information, or other violations of research ethics;
may initiate correction, rejection, or retraction of an article if significant errors, violations, or unethical practices are identified.

3. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are required to:

submit original and independently prepared scholarly works;
guarantee that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another journal at the same time;
provide proper references to all sources used;
indicate only those persons who made a significant contribution to the research as co-authors;
present accurate research results and, when necessary, be ready to provide the original data supporting the study;
promptly notify the editorial board if a significant error is discovered in a submitted or published article.

Authors are prohibited from:

using plagiarism in any form;
fabricating, falsifying, or distorting research results;
providing false information about authorship;
submitting the same manuscript simultaneously to several journals.

4. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are required to:

provide objective, reasoned, and timely expert evaluation of scholarly materials;
maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts received for review;
inform the editorial board about any signs of plagiarism, duplicate publication, unreliable data, or other violations;
decline the review process in the event of a conflict of interest.

A reviewer has no right to use manuscript materials for personal or professional purposes before publication.

5. Plagiarism and Unethical Practices

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, falsification, fabrication of data, improper attribution of authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or any other forms of unethical academic conduct. All submitted materials may be checked for similarity. If violations are identified, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the manuscript, retract the publication, or notify the relevant parties.

6. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial board must disclose any conflict of interest that may affect the objectivity of the review, evaluation, or publication of a manuscript.

7. Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors, unreliable data, or violations of publication ethics are identified after publication, the editorial board has the right to issue a correction, clarification, or retract the article in accordance with established procedures.

8. Final Provisions

The editorial board calls upon all participants in the publication process to observe the principles of research ethics and to respect the values of integrity, responsibility, impartiality, and academic honesty.
